How long do the filters last?
For optimal filtration, we recommend you swap your replacement filter every 3 months.
If you use your shower less frequently (short showers), you can stretch it a bit longer, maybe an extra month or so.

Simply twist it clockwise onto the pipe until it’s snug. It fits all standard Australian showers.

Will this fit my shower?
Yeah! We've designed it to fit any shower. It uses the universal 1/2-inch connector that standard shower arms and hoses have, so you can easily screw it on without any special tools.
What does it actually filter out?
Our filter has been shown to help reduce chlorine (dries out skin and hair), chloramine (causes irritation), THMs (linked to skin and respiratory issues), magnesium and calcium carbonate (increase water hardness), iron (clogs pores), hydrogen sulfide (causes odor), and mercury and chromium (can lead to skin sensitivity)
Will it affect my water pressure?
Nope, your water pressure should stay just as strong as always. We designed the Watego filter to keep your shower feeling powerful while it cleans up the water.
Unless you forget to replace the filter for ages and it gets super clogged, you’ll have the same great pressure you’re used to.
How long does the filter last, and how do I replace it?
Your Watego filter is designed to give you the best shower experience, softer skin, shinier hair, and cleaner water. But like all filters, it works best when replaced on time.
Over time it becomes less effective, meaning it won’t remove contaminants as efficiently.
To keep your water at its purest, we recommend replacing your filter based on usage:
One person / short showers → replace every 4 months
Most households → replace every 90 days

Do I need the adapter?
Most showers will fit the Watego filter straight out of the box, but in some cases, you might need a pivoting adapter. Here’s how to check:
Measure Your Clearance – From the wall to the center of your shower pipe, you’ll need at least 32mm of space to fit the filter properly (roughly two fingers).
Check Your Setup – Use a ruler or tape measure to see how much room you have. If it’s less than 32mm, a pivoting adapter will ensure a secure, easy install.
